Learning & Development

At Waterton, we will help provide you the tools to succeed; you provide the drive and passion to achieve! We offer several learning and development programs with a mixture of online self-paced e-learning, instructor led classroom learning, web-based learning and on-the-job training.

Brand Programs
Waterton has the distinct advantage of partnering with multiple hospitality brands including Marriott, Starwood, Hyatt and IHG. As an associate working in one of our hotels, you will have the opportunity to participating in specific brand training programs designed to assist you in delivering the brand promise and exceeding guest expectations.

Manager-in-Training Program (MIT) & Internships
We are excited to offer our associates development opportunities through both Internship Programs and Manager-in-Training Programs. Both programs offer current team members and current college students or recent graduates the opportunity to hone their skills as a hotelier with real-world experience. The goal of the MIT Program is to provide participants the skills needed to move into their first Management level role within the hospitality industry.

What to Expect Once You’ve Applied

Once you have applied online, you will receive an email letting you know your application and/or resume has been received. Once received, one of our recruiting professionals will review your qualifications. Following their review, they will then contact those candidates that most closely match the position’s requirements. You will be sent an email once the position has been filled even if you were not contacted for an interview, usually within 3-4 weeks. If contacted for an interview, you may be asked to meet with a Human Resources Representative, the Department Manager and potentially even the General Manager at that location. If offered a position, as part of our pre-employment process, candidates will be asked to provide professional references and complete a pre-employment background and drug screening prior to beginning employment with Waterton.
